Les Issambres - 13 June 2003

A lovely day sailing to Les Issambres. Helen clearly enjoying Walkaway in ideal sailing conditions. Note the bimini, an essential item of kit for sailing in the Mediterranean. We anchored off the beach and rowed ashore adjacent to Club 55, the most exclusive beach resort in France. More helicopters than cars, and clearly one is not to be seen without one's Bentley or the like.

The reason for the visit was to find Helen's old Nanny's house, real memory lane stuff. It is in a magnificent position overlooking the bay but it has not been looked after and needs serious attention. The amazing thing was that it was a total time warp, the house last seen in about 1954!

The drive sadly overgrown, the house in need of TLC.

NOW TO SAN RAPHAEL VIEUX PORT
