Baie of Agay and Juan-les-Pins 5/6 June
Anchored Baie de Agay for the night as a staging post. Look at the colour of the rocks - wonderful. The red rocks of Agay
Pretty tight anchorage. You can just see the yachts masts in the background. The tower with yachts behind

Juan-les-Pins to water ship, fuel, do the laundary (thus picture) and shave - got to the stage where I agreed with that First Lieutenant!

Walkaway and washday

I came here many years ago (roughly 10 years ago at the age of 18!) on a motocycle with my school buddy Michael Bisgood (now Ingram) on the back seat. We were mad but Juan-les-Pins has not changed dramatically. Massive beach nearly all privately owned by hotels etc and a tiny public beach absolutely crowded out.

I seem to remember we kept body and sould together by giving locals a ride on the bike; in those days France was not into motorbikes so we were freaks in more ways than one.

Nothing to recommend the place really apart from the laundrette and memory lane.

Beach row - yuk

Now heading for Nice or Villefranche to pick up Helen on Sunday 8th

Would you believe the 8th is a Sunday and the French Public Workers are on strike. Have you heard of that before - no trains and no easy transport. Its going to be an initiative test as Nice Airport is some 9 miles from the city.

Then to Villefranche to pick up Helen - Yippee!!!!!
