Bays
and Coves around Cassis 2 June |
|
There are some very attractive coves adjacent to Cassis that are well worth a visit and Walkaway did a tour on departure from Cassis. They are very similar to the Baleric Calas. This is looking into Port Miou; quaint name for a cove. |

A shot having moved deeper into the Port. At the top is reserved for locals so if you want to stay ......
you must anchor on one side of the cove, then reverse you stern toward the other side and get a line ashore and secure to keep you straight. In some places you will find a ring, in others you just have to be inventive with knots and rocks. Its all possible with a crew but not easy in an old boat that won't steer backwards single handed. Needed a crew here to stay overnight! |

Port Pin, just adjacent to Port Miou.
The truely amazing Calanque de Figuerolles
Moving down the coast interesting rock formations, very similar to those found off Largos, Portugese Algave.
