Ile Ste Marguerite - 15 June 2003

Now heading East, we anchored for the night off St Marguerite part of the Iles de Lerins. Here we are anchored off the island clearly under scrutiny from the castle!

A healthy climb to the castle. This was the most impressive bit, inside the walls were many ancient houses but in full use as dormitories for school visits etc.

One of the good things about anchoring in this part of France is that, whilst you may have to share the anchorage during the day with the crowds, they all disappear back to harbour at about 1800 and then you are left to enjoy the anchorage by yourself in peace and quite.

NOW TO ST JEAN-CAP-FERRAT
